Valen drags the Wolf Priest into the armory, pulling him back behind the barricade as the chaplain stationed there moves to assist him. Pelious steps into the main entry hall and lets loose a mighty volley at the foes. Gauss blasts burst from his chest in a flurry of shots that gouge holes in armor and masonry. Then the great Teslas fire and blazing green lightning arcs across the ranks, blasting ceramite from figures and vaporizing flesh and metal beneath as electricity dances through the entire formation. Khavados rocks heavily as green lighting slams into his side as he passes. He feels his great chassis shudder and heat but his armor holds the storm at bay if only barely. As the emerald storm passes, the squad is left with nothing but the charred and blasted remains of all 20 risen marines, left little more than burned and cratered forms under Pelious's openning volley. (technical information: 20 marines completely destroyed, Khavados hit multiple times, none dealt damage but some came VERY close)
"Anything less would be an unacceptable disservice to the Emperor. And what once were men in those suits... They deserved better than this vile Xenos metamorphosis. Emperor, guide them to your side..." Pelious slowly turns and follows Khavados back to the Armory.
"Brother Pelious, can you tell us what is going on here? I have never encountered necrons before but as far as I know they can not raise any dead but their own. And why are they here in the first place?"
"I know little of the events myself. I was in the armory at the time of the initial attack, assisting the tech marines and priests here in testing this Centurion suit. I was given orders to defend the armory and the Tech-priests in it when word of the attacks spread. All I know is that the attacks began in the lower levels and that the fighting has gone poorly near everywhere else. Comms have been silent for days now. As for the fallen Marines I know not how they turned the others against us, but they deserved a better death than that. Why the Necrons are here? I couldn't claim to know, maybe they wanted their technology back? I must say, it's quite an effective suit. However their reasons matter little. Have you come across a Contemptor Dreadnought perchance? The Watch Commander would be an invaluable ally at this time and mayhaps he could shed a bit more light on why the Necrons are present?" Pelious pulls up a digital map and highlights the room that the Watch Commander's charger is in, then sends it to Damien. "Perhaps you could find him around here? That is where his charging station is."
"My thanks brother. I know you were given orders to stay and guard the armory, however," Damien looks at the line of automated defenses and tech priest/marines. "I think they have this area fairly well secured and we could use your firepower to aid in clearing out this infestation and finding your watch captain. A contemptor dreadnought would certainly be helpful in our mission let alone one piloted by a watch captain. We should definitely make that our next stop." Then he goes out to retrieve his bike and bring it into the armory for repairs.
"Very Well." Pelious says. He then turns to the Senior Iron Hands Tech Marine in the room. "Brother Karax, I can trust you with the defense of this armory I presume?" He then assigns the bolter turrets to the Marine. "Make the Emperor proud." Pelious then heads toward the Tech Priests in the back of the room informing them of the new development (Him leaving and the other Tech Marine assuming leadership at this point) and inquiring if they've discovered anything in their search.
